My assemblages and low relief wall sculptures possess characteristics of the Bauhaus era with an industrial, functional look including organic shapes for balance. Materials used could be anything from cardboard packaging, insulation, and foam board to metal hardware. Influences include the Parthenon Frieze, Japanese folding screens, and The Assyrian Lion Hunts from the Palace of Nineveh with their flowing horizontal movement and striking bas-relief that still impact my work today.
